About Me
Professional Goals
In the near future I hope to have the opportunity to find a career in the field of audio technology, whether that be in theatre, radio, television or otherwise. Upon gaining experiences in the profession as an event/audio technician during my work study at Pacific Lutheran University, as well as those educational experiences gained through theatrical productions, I have found that I enjoy mixing live sound and working out what equipment is best for casting the best sound quality out to an audience.
My biggest career goal is to be able to find a job I truly enjoy doing and look forward to doing every day. Sound is often overlooked by the audience, and especially so when that sound is from an instrument or a person; although it is noticed when it is set up poorly. I want to be able to provide that sound that blends seamlessly and makes people forget that what they are listening to is coming out of speakers.
Past Experience
Below are the different kinds of past experiences I have had with Sound Board Operation and Audio Recording for different events throughout my time attending Pacific Lutheran University and participating in their theatre program.
Professional
Paid Theatrical Experience
As a student audio technician I was assigned to set up/run sound for a plethora of different types and sizes of events in different spaces around campus, including our theatre spaces. (Sample comes from rehearsal with Alice Ripley)

Creating Materials
Other Paid Audio Technician Experience
While much of my experience is extremely hands on, I was asked to create a set of materials for the PLU theatre department to reference when future students need to learn how to operate the equipment. This demonstrates my skills with MS word, and training capabilities. Below is a link to a pdf of a detailed document I drafted for the functions of a Yamaha CL5 used in PLU's main theatre.

Educational
Credited Theatrical Experience
While attending PLU, I earned several credits for running sound for a multiple shows, this included operating the sound board, helping actors into their microphones, and troubleshooting any issues that may have arose. (Sample comes from When You Wish Musical Revue, September 30th 2022)
